Brand Identity: Cam Carson
In case you didn’t know, I love having the chance to help clients with their Brand Identity! I’m so excited to start featuring some of my clients here on my little Blog. So here we go!
You know the people who light up a room? You know the ones that always have a bright smile and a bigger than life personality? Enter Cameron Carson!
Cameron Carson is a highly sought-out makeup artist here in Virginia. Her attention to detail and extraordinary talent are just some of the reasons why brides fall in love with her and keep her schedule jam packed. Not only does she work with brides, she offers spray tans, a full-service hair salon, and an innovative makeup academy. So…yeah…she’s a big deal. Plus she’s hilarious and a little saucy and I love that about her.
A Brand Re-Imagined
I had the chance to work on Cam’s brand identity a few years ago when her business was ready for a pivot and a makeover (see what I did there?) I was pleased as punch to work on something vibrant and colorful to reflect both her personality and the vibe of her business moving forward. Big changes mean big design changes, and we were both up for the challenge! (Ps: when do you know it’s time to rebrand? When your business changes, it’s probably time to realign your brand values and identity).
Panera became our meeting spot and well, frankly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Over chicken sandwiches or bagels (or both when breakfast turned into lunch #chattycathys) we made plans to make all things Cam Carson & Co. come to life.
After nailing down our inspiration, Cam casually informed me that OH YEA BY THE WAY we would also be branding her new makeup academy. *cue me giving her the side eye and adding another moodboard to the project* LOL
And just like that, one project became two and The Color Clique came to life. Building two brands at once for the same person was a first for me, and I loved it. Making sure it all went together while maintaining different identities was a fun exercise and made me a better designer.
